Viande Foods, a popular maker of packaged soups and pizzas in Puerto Rico, has partnered up with Pow Cannabis to bring CBD-infused, locally-inspired instant soups to the island.
The line launched with two flavors:
- Veggie Soup: based on the traditional Puerto Rican sancocho, with 25 milligrams of CBD
- Hearty Platano Soup: with 40 milligrams of CBD.
The soups are all vegan, gluten-free, low in calories, and boasts a short list of ingredients. The companies said they tried to keep it “as simple and healthy as possible.”
“We believe this is the first infused instant soup in the global cannabis market, if not in Puerto Rico. Viande and Pow look forward to collaborating on future projects and brining more unique products with both THC and CBD to the island and the world,” said Scott Slavin, CEO of Pow Cannabis.
“Our journey as food makers started with a promise of better food for all. Viande Foods’ new Viande Infusion soups builds on that promise… natural, crafted, functional food that improves people’s lives. The future of food,” added Adolfo Santana, CEO Viande Foods.
Viande is a non-cannabis food company with distribution in Walmart Inc. WMT and various other retailers throughout Puerto Rico and select U.S. markets. Pow is a brand focused on bringing unique powdered cannabis formulations to market.
