Metals Mostly Higher, Gold Lagging

The metals market is mostly higher today, with the notable exception of gold, which is lagging the group lower today. Equities are higher, with all three indexes up. Copper is up 2 cents to trade at $4.0285, a gain of 0.5%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 13 cents to $52.73, a loss of 0.25%. Silver is up 8 cents to $38.75, as it looks like $40 will be the next mark for the precious metal. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are up 2 cents this morning, to trade at $37.82. Gold is down $16.50 an ounce to $1,735.00, a loss of 0.95%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down sharply, down $2.14 to $168.61. Platinum is up $11.70 an ounce, trading at $1,803.70, a gain of 0.65%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is up 27 cents this morning to trade at $23.45. Palladium is up sharply, up $13.05 an ounce today, trading at $746.85, as it looks like it will break $800 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are higher today, up 45 cents to $73.91.
