The metals market is mostly lower today, with the notable exception of gold, which is soaring on economic concerns. Equities are sharply lower, with all three indexes down more than 3%.
Copper is down 6.95 cents to trade at $3.9625, a loss of 1.7%.
Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down $1.18 to $51.63, a loss of 2.23%.
Silver is up 35 cents to $40.71 an ounce, a gain of 0.88%.
Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are up 22 cents this morning, to trade at $39.55, a gain of 0.6%.
Gold is soaring, gaining $31.20 an ounce to $1,825.00, a gain of 1.75%.
Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are up $3.11 to $177.53.
Platinum is down $11.80 an ounce, trading at $1,829.00, a loss of 0.64%.
The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is down $1.13 this morning to trade at $22.84, a loss of 4.7%.
Palladium is down $21.90 an ounce today, trading at $754.00.
Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply lower today, down $1.90 to $75.00.
