Metals Mostly Higher, Palladium Lagging

The metals market is mostly higher today, with the notable exception of palladium. Equities have rebounded, and are now in positive territory after starting sharply lower this morning. Copper is up 3.7 cents to trade at $4.0070, a gain of just over 0.9%. $4 copper is extremely psychologically important. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is up 70 cents to $52.21, a gain of 1.36%. Silver is up 98 cents to $41.67, as it continues higher past $40. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are up $1.10 this morning, to trade at $40.76, a gain of 2.77%. Gold is up $24.80 an ounce to $1,846.80, a gain of 1.36%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are up $2.53 to $180.25. Platinum is up $18.50 an ounce, trading at $1,866.20, a gain of 1%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is down 24 cents this morning to trade at $22.49, a loss of 1.05%. Palladium is down $5.25 an ounce today, trading at $751.75, a loss of 0.7%. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are lower today, down 37 cents to $74.41.
