Metals Mostly Higher, Copper Negative

The metals market is much higher today, with the notable exception of copper, which is lower this morning. Equities are higher, with all three indexes solidly higher. Copper is down 1.7 cents to trade at $3.9665, a gain of just over 0.4%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 18 cents to $51.67, a loss of 0.35%. Silver is up sharply, up $1.07 to $43.50, as it looks like $45 is the next mark for the precious metal. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are up 80 cents this morning, to trade at $42.48, a gain of almost 2%. Gold is down $23.00 an ounce to $1,875.20, a gain of 1.25%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are up strongly, up $3.15 to $183.10. Platinum is up $18.40 an ounce, trading at $1,893.30, a gain of nearly 1%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is up 17 cents this morning to trade at $22.76. Palladium is down $5.60 an ounce today, trading at $754.40, as it looks like it will break $800 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are higher today, up 95 cents to $74.73.
