Metals All Lower, Copper Below $4

The metals market is much lower today, with copper dropping below the key $4 level. Equities are mixed, and well off their lows of the session. Copper is down 4.25 cents to trade at $3.9595, a loss of just over 1%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 51 cents to $51.45, a loss of around 1%. Silver is down 35 cents to $41.27, as it looks like $40 is the next mark for the precious metal. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are down 54 cents to $39.98, a loss of 1.3%. Gold is down $21 an ounce to $1,838.50, a loss of 1.25%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are plunging, down $2.48 to $178.22. Platinum is down $16 an ounce, trading at $1,822.00, a loss of nearly 1%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is down 47 cents this morning to trade at $22.37. Palladium is down $9.05 an ounce today, trading at $729.55, as it looks like it will break $700 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply lower today, down 88 cents to $72.13.
