Metals Plunging Across The Board

The metals market is plunging this morning, as fears of European debt concerns this morning are rearing their ugly heads. Equities are sharply lower, with all three indexes down more than 1.5%. Copper is down 14.3 cents to trade at $3.7890, a loss of 3.64%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down $2.06 to $48.97, a loss of 4.04%. Silver is down sharply, down $1.42 to $39.41, a loss of 3.5%. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV a loss of $1.00 to $38.39, a loss of 2.5%. Gold is down $24.10 an ounce $1,790.90, a loss of 1.33% this morning, as it moves back below $1,800 an ounce. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down $2.19 to $173.85. Platinum is down $32 an ounce, trading at $1,782.00, a loss of nearly 2%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is down $1.05 to $21.58, a loss of 4.64%. Palladium is down $19.45 an ounce today, trading at $713.55 an ounce. It could cross $700 an ounce if weakness persists. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply lower today, down $1.65 to $70.57.
