Metals Lower, Copper Nearing $3

The metals market is lower again today, except for gold, which is negligibly higher so far during the session. Equities are lower, albeit not as low as they were earlier in the session. Copper is down 5.4 cents to $3.1920, a loss of 1.66%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down $1.06 to $40.78, a loss of 2.53%. Silver is down 28 cents to $30.24, a loss of 0.92%. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are down 45 cents to 29.51, a loss of 1.5%. Gold is up 70 cents to $1,618.00 an ounce, a tiny fractional gain. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are up 2 cents to $157.77. Platinum is down $15.70 an ounce to $1517.20, a loss of 1.02%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is down 56 cents this morning to trade at $19.15. Palladium is down $8.60 an ounce to $615.00 an ounce, as it tries to hold onto the $600 an once level. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are down 58 cents to $60.74, a loss of 0.95%.
