Metals Down Sharply, Palladium Cratering

The metals market is much lower today, with palladium falling off a cliff, down more than 4%. Equities are higher, with the NASDAQ leading the way higher. Copper is down 5.6 cents to $3.0480, a loss of another 1.8%. Any break below $3 will be very troublesome. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 53 cents to $39.63, a loss of 1.3%. Silver is down 35 cents to $29.49, a loss of 1.2% as it stays below $30 an ounce. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are down 16 cents to $28.93. Gold is down $4.40 an ounce to $1,611.60, a loss of 0.27%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down 54 cents to $157.10. Platinum is down $28.10 an ounce, trading at $1,440.50, a loss of 1.9%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is up 38 cents to $18.24, a gain of 2.1%. Palladium is down $24 an ounce today, trading at $540.20, a loss of 4.25%, the worst among the metals. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply lower today, down $1.26 to $53.38.
