Metals Mostly Higher, Copper Soaring

The metals market is mostly higher today, with copper soaring higher. Equities are higher, with all three indexes moving firmly into the green. Copper is up 13.6 cents to trade at $3.9305, a gain of just over 0.4%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is up $1.33 to $42.08, a gain of 3.26%. Silver is up 47 cents to $30.82, a gain of almost 1.5%. It has moved above $30 an ounce. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are down $1.59 this morning, to trade at $32.79, a loss of 4.7%. Gold is down $4.40 an ounce to $1,637.20, a loss of 0.27%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are up 54 cents to $160.00, a gain of 0.34%. Platinum is up $11.60 an ounce, trading at $1,494.50, a gain of nearly 0.8%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is up 35 cents this morning to trade at $18.79. Palladium is soaring this morning, up $25.40 an ounce today, trading at $595.75, as it tries to move above $600 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply higher today, up $1.87 to $58.29.
