Metals Mixed, Copper Down Over 2%

The metals market is mixed today, as are equities. Copper is down the most among the precious and industrial metals complex. Copper is down 7.6 cents to trade at $3.284, a loss of just over 2.2%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down $1.22 to $42.48, a loss of 2.8%. Silver is down 15 cents to $31.69, a loss of 0.46%, as it tries to hold onto $30 an ounce. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are down 44 cents to $30.89, a loss of 1.4%. Gold is up $2.90 an ounce to $1,655.90, a gain of 0.2%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down 68 cents to $161.16. Platinum is down $8.20 an ounce, trading at $1,532.50, a loss of nearly 0.5%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is up 8 cents this morning to trade at $20.13. Palladium is up $1.10 an ounce today, trading at $621.00 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply lower today, down 21 cents to $61.24.
