Metals Giving Back Some of Recent Gains

The metals market is lower today, giving back some of the recent gains today, with palladium being down he most. Equities are slightly lower, with all three indexes down less than 0.5%. Copper is down 2.25 cents to trade at $3.6695, a loss of just over 0.6%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 37 cents to $47.57, a loss of 0.77%. Silver is down 25 cents an ounce to $34.86, a loss of 0.71% in early Friday trading. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are up$1 this morning, to trade at $33.92, a loss of 3.04%. Gold is down $4.90 an ounce to $1,742.80, a loss of 0.28%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down 55 cents to $169.39. Platinum is down $4.70 an ounce, trading at $1,636.70, a loss of nearly 0.3%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is up $1.95 this morning to trade at $161.74, a gain of 1.22%. Palladium is down $9.55 an ounce today, trading at $660.35, a loss of 1.43%, the most in the complex today. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply lower today, down 65 cents to $65.22.
