Japan Tobacco Inc JAPAY reported a 24% rise in its net profit for the fiscal second quarter.
Japan Tobacco's quarterly net profit surged to Y73.1 billion, from Y59.1 billion, in the year-ago period. Its revenue fell 2.8% to Y689.3 billion from Y708.9 billion. Japan Tobacco's operating profit came in at Y121.0 billion.
