Metals Lower, Copper Outperforming

The metals market is much lower today, with the notable exception of copper, which is up more than 1% today. Equities are lower, with all three indexes down. Copper is up 4.25 cents to trade at $3.506, a gain of just over 1.2%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is up 45 cents to $45.35, a gain of 1%. Silver is down 40 cents to $34.28, a loss of 1.16%. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are down 38 cents to trade at $33.36, a loss of 1.13%. Gold is down $7.70 an ounce to $1,780.40, a loss of 0.43%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down $1.04 to $172.92. Platinum is down $3.20 an ounce, trading at $1,643.50, a loss of nearly 1.2%. The platinum ETF ETFS Physical Platinum Shares PPLT is down 32 cents this morning to trade at $162.20, a loss of 0.2%. Palladium is down $4.05 an ounce today, trading at $658.75, as it looks like it will break $700 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are lower today, down 1 cent to $65.10.
