Metals Down Sharply, Palladium Down 2%

Copper is leading the metals sector this morning, in this Wednesday edition of the Metals Morning Update, albeit the industrial metal is still down on the day. Gold is down $24.90 an ounce, to trade at $1,757.30, a loss of 1.4%. Shares of SPDR Gold Trust ETF GLD are down $2.49, to trade at $170.87. Copper is hurting this morning, lose more than 4 cents to trade at $3.4585 per pound. This is also due to the renewed fears in Europe, and a move to risk aversion, as opposed to risk appetite. Shares of Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC are losing ground this morning, losing 62 cents to trade at $44.60. Silver is negative on the day, losing 63 cents to trade at $33.83 an ounce. Despite the loss in the actual metal, shares of the iShares Silver Trust ETF SLV are negative on the day, down 80 cents to trade at $32.86. Palladium is down $13.40 at $653.65 per ounce. The Etfs Physical Palladium Shares ETF PALL is lower by $1.20 today, to trade at $64.39. Platinum is losing ground, losing 1.2% or $19.90 to trade at $1,622.80 per ounce. ETFS Physical Platinum Shares PPLT is losing $2.03 this morning, to trade at $160.00.
