Carrefour Reports 0.8% Decline In Q4 Sales

Carrefour SA CRRFY reported a 0.8% fall in its Q4 sales, excluding petrol and including value-added-tax. Its sales fell to 24.2 billion euros ($31.1 billion). On a comparable basis excluding fuel, Carrefour's sales declined 1.9%. Its full-year sales gained 0.5% and dropped 0.6% on a comparable basis. Excluding France, Carrefour's quarterly sales in Europe declined 4.3%. Its sales dropped 2.4% in France. Carrefour's sales surged 6.8% in Latin America and 2.8% in Asia. Carrefour shares closed at $4.51 yesterday.
