MEG Energy Reports Higher Q4 Profit

MEG Energy Corp MEGEF reported a rise in its fourth-quarter profit. MEG Energy's quarterly net income surged to C$91.1 million, or 46 Canadian cents per share, from C$61.2 million, or 31 Canadian cents per share, in the year-ago period. MEG Energy's net operating costs declined to C$8.50 per barrel, versus C$11.01 per barrel last year.
