Gem Diamonds Posts Surge In 2012 Profit

Gem Diamonds Ltd GMDMF reported a rise in its 2012 profit. For the full-year, Gem Diamonds posted a pretax profit at $155.7 million, versus $54.5 million, in the year-ago period. Attributable profit surged to $67.7 million from $20.2 million. Gem Diamonds' letseng production climbed 24% to 112,367 carats.
