Banca Monte dei Paschi Reports Loss

Italy's third-largest bank Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA BMDPF posted a net loss of EUR4.69 billion in 2011. For the quarter, Banca Monte dei Paschi posted a net loss of EUR4.99 billion, versus a year-ago net profit of EUR628.60 million.
