AIA Q1 New Business Value Surges 27%

AIA Group Ltd AAGIY reported a 27% y/y rise in its value of new business for the first quarter. AIA's value of new business surged to US$232 million from US$182 million. In the quarter, annualised new premiums gained 6% to US$543 million from US$512 million. AIA Group shares closed at $14.38 yesterday.
