Hypermarcas Q1 Net Profit Rises 24%

Hypermarcas SA HYPMY reported a 24% y/y rise in its first-quarter net profit. Hypermarcas' quarterly net profit rose to 40.8 million Brazilian reais ($21.25 million), from BRL32.9 million, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed 13.8% y/y to BRL897.1 million, from BRL788.1 million. Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization fell 11.2% to BRL192.4 million.
