Universal Robina Posts 37% Surge In Profit

Universal Robina Corp UVRBF reported a 37% rise in its net profit for the six months ended March 31. Universal Robina's net profit for the period climbed to PHP4.49 billion ($105 million), from PHP3.29 billion, in the year-earlier period. Its net sales gained 6.6% to PHP35.49 billion from PHP33.30 billion. Universal Robina's operating income dropped 4.5% to PHP3.65 billion from PHP3.82 billion.
