Gilbane Building Company Launches Integrated ESG Strategy To Maximize Impact In Inclusion, Sustainability & More

Gilbane's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Platform Will Drive Corporate Strategies and Goals

NEW YORK (PRWEB) March 24, 2022

Gilbane Building Company today announced the release of the Gilbane Cares Report – Our Blueprint for Impact, which lays out concrete environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives and actions to provide a vision for and pathway to meaningful impact over the long term.

This strategy integrates six key focus areas – environmental approaches, inclusion and diversity, community impact, safety and wellbeing, governance and ethics, and operational excellence – and explores strategic priorities in each case to provide benchmarks against which the company can hold itself accountable.

"Our ESG strategy is inspired by the caring and passionate commitment of our people to build more than buildings," said Thomas M. Laird, Jr., President and CEO of Gilbane Building Company. "We are proud of the efforts we've made throughout our 150-year history, but in keeping with our culture of continuous improvement, we know we can be and do better. Our ESG platform will drive policy decisions that are embedded in our business strategies and challenge us as an organization to examine and improve our opportunity for impact. We believe that ESG is a powerful way for us to connect with the issues our clients care about and to support the communities in which we live and work."
