Capita Posts Higher Pretax Profit, Lifts Dividend

Capita PLC CTAGY reported a higher pretax profit for the first half and lifted the dividend. Capita's revenue for the period rose to GBP1.61 billion, from GBP1.4 billion, in the year-ago period. Its pretax profit rose to GBP143.8 million from GBP141.4 million. Capita's adjusted pretax profit climbed to GBP190.7 million versus GBP174.0 million. Its diluted EPS came in at 18.61 pence, versus 17.77 pence. Capita declared an interim dividend of 7.9 pence per share, versus 7.2 pence.
