Novozymes A/S NVZMY reported a 9% rise in its second-quarter net profit.
Novozymes' quarterly net profit surged to DKK495 million, versus DKK454 million, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of DKK469.9 million.
Its sales surged 12% to DKK2.85 billion, beating analysts' estimates of DKK2.76 billion. Its EBIT jumped 17% to DKK674 million from DKK578 million, beating analysts' expectations of DKK643.6 million.
Novozymes shares gained 0.53% to close at $24.82 yesterday.
