China Construction Bank H1 Net Profit Up 15%

China Construction Bank CICHY reported a 15% rise in its first-half net profit. China Construction Bank's net profit for the period surged to 106.28 billion yuan ($16.72 billion), versus CNY92.83 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of CNY103.53 billion. The bank's net interest income surged 16% to CNY169.69 billion. China Construction Bank shares closed at $13.43 on Friday.
