Hauppauge Digital HAUP announced that it has regained compliance with the Nasdaq's minimum closing bid price requirement. The stock jumped 1%, to $3.14 on the news in the pre-market session. HAUP’s 50-day average daily volume is 1.24 million.
BluePhoenix Solutions’ BPHX adjusted Q1 profit of $0.01 a share fell short of analysts expectations of $0.05 a share. Revenue stood at $17.4 million, while the consensus was of $18.4 million. Following the news, shares of BPHX tumbled 7.3%, to $1.39 in pre-market hours. The company has a 50-day average daily volume of 87,000.
GTx Inc GTXI pummeled after the news came that toremifene 20 mg, its experimental prostate cancer drug, failed to show statistical significance as compared to a placebo in a late-stage trial. The drug was being tested as a preventive treatment for cancer in high-risk patients. GTXI plunged 33.8% to $2 in the pre-market session.
Shares of Central Jersey Bancorp CJBK soared on the news that the bank is going to be taken over by Kearny Financial KRNY in a $72.3 million all-cash deal. CJBK’s shareholders will receive $7.50 a share, a 143% premium to Tuesday's closing price of $3.08. In the pre-market session, CJBK advanced 131.8% to $7.14. It has a 50-day average daily volume of 18,000.
