Dollar Thrifty projects full-year adjusted earnings of $5.50 to $5.75 per share.
Its quarterly net income dropped to $55.5 million, or $1.91 per share, versus $66.6 million, or $2.13 per share, in the year-ago period.
Dollar Thrifty's rental revenue gained around 1.5% to $442.3 million, while total revenue increased 2% to $460.6 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.69 per share on revenue of $454.1 million.
Dollar Thrifty shares closed at $77.00 yesterday.
