Aeon 9-Month Profit Rises 2.9%

Aeon Co AONNY reported a 2.9% rise in its net profit for the nine-month period ended November. Aeon's net profit for the period surged to Y37.59 billion ($422 million), from Y36.54 billion, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed 9.9% to Y4.120 trillion from Y3.748 trillion, while operating profit declined 5.5% to Y96.17 billion from Y101.82 billion. Aeon shares closed at $11.30 yesterday.
