Planar Systems recorded sales of $44.2 million and GAAP loss per share of $0.07 in its first fiscal quarter ended December 28, 2012. On a Non-GAAP basis (see reconciliation table), income per share was $0.05 in the first quarter of fiscal 2013.

Sutor Technology Group
Sutor Technology Group SUTR, the China-based manufacturer and distributor of high-end fine finished steel products and welded steel pipes, rose 51% Thursday on 123 times average volume.
Sutor Technology Group, announced Wednesday its financial results for fiscal 2013 second quarter ended December 31, 2012. Revenue generated from domestic sales increased by 49.2% to $139.6 million, while revenue generated from international sales increased by 27.5% to $18.3 million. As a percentage of total revenue, international sales accounted for 11.6%, as compared to 13.3% in the same quarter of fiscal 2012. As of December 31, 2012, Sutor had an unused line of credit with banks of approximately $34.7 million which entitles the Company to draw bank loans for general corporate purposes. Sutor expects sufficient liquidity to carry out normal operations for fiscal 2013.

Parametric Sound
Shares of Parametric Sound PAMT, the San Diego, CA provider directed audio solutions, rose almost 10% Thursday on 5 times average volume.
Parametric Sound announced Thursday, financial results for its first fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2012.
Net loss for the first quarter of fiscal 2013 was $1.3 million, or $(0.20) per basic and diluted common share, as compared to a net loss of $531,000, or $(0.14) per basic and diluted common share for the same quarter last year and a net loss of $1.3 million, or $(0.20) per basic and diluted common share for the preceding quarter. During the first quarter, the Company continued to execute its strategy to license and commercialize its HyperSound directed audio IP across a wide range of consumer products. Revenue totaled $109,000 during the first quarter of fiscal 2013, as compared to
$65,000 during the same period last year, and $75,000 for the preceding quarter. The increased revenues reflect growth in digital signage product sales. Gross profit was $55,000, compared to $40,000 for the comparable prior year quarter and $25,000 for the preceding quarter.
