According to ETFChannel.com, the International Dividend Achievers Portfolio ETF (PID) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 780,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 191,000. Shares of PID were up about 0.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Petroleo Brasileiro SA Petroleum (PBR), trading up about 2.1% with over 9.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Vodafone Group Plc (VOD), up about 2.7% on volume of over 8.4 million shares. Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) is the component faring the best Wednesday, higher by about 4.2% on the day, while Continental Nickel Limited (CNI.CA) is lagging other components of the International Dividend Achievers Portfolio ETF, trading relatively unchanged.
