Compass Group Posts Drop In Full-Year Profit

Compass Group PLC CMPGY reported a drop in its full-year pretax profit. Compass Group's pretax profit for the year declined 8.6% to GBP721 million, versus GBP789 million, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed 3.9% to GBP17.6 billion. On an underlying basis, its pretax profit jumped 9.2% to GBP1.19 billion. Compass Group shares closed at $15.08 yesterday.
