Stocks Hitting 52-Week Lows

Mindray Medical International MR shares reached a new 52-week low of $33.485. Mindray Medical shares have dropped 9.60% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 21.34% in the same period. UIL Holdings UIL shares fell 1.21% to touch a new 52-week low of $34.89 after the company announced extension of offer to purchase $3.125 par preferred stock of its subsidiary, Connecticut Natural Gas. Staples SPLS shares declined 14.33% to touch a new 52-week low of $11.48 after the company reported weaker-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter earnings and announced its plans to close 225 stores by 2015. Orbit International ORBT shares reached a new 52-week low of $2.90 after the company reported a Q4 loss of $0.62 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $0.04 per share.
