European Markets Sharply Lower

European markets are now closed. Stocks markets across Europe performed as follows: The U.K. FTSE was down 1.5%. The German DAX shed 1.3%. The French CAC dropped 1.8%. The Spanish IBEX tumbled 1.7%. The Portuguese PSI sank 0.7%.
