Voestalpine Posts Surge In Fiscal Year Profit

Austrian company VOESTALPINE AG VLPNF reported a gain in its earnings for fiscal year 2015. Voestalpine's profit before tax climbed to 740.9 million euros for the year, versus a year-ago profit of 640.8 million euros. Its profit jumped to 594.2 million euros from 503.4 million euros, while EPS rose to 3.11 euros from 2.59 euros. Its revenue rose 11.19 billion euros from 11.08 billion euros, while EBIT surged 12 percent to EUR886.3 million. The company's board proposed to increase dividend to EUR1 per share from EUR0.95 per share from the prior fiscal year.
