The worst performing industries in the market today are: Home Furnishing Stores: This industry slipped 2.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Williams-Sonoma, Inc. WSM, which fell 5.3 percent. Williams-Sonoma reported downbeat results for its fourth quarter and issued a weak forecast. The company also reported a $500 million buyback program and lifted its quarterly dividend by 6 percent to $0.37 per share. Building Materials Wholesale: This industry declined 2.8 percent by 11:00 am with Louisiana-Pacific Corporation LPX moving down 3.1 percent. Louisiana-Pacific shares have gained 2.59 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has dropped 3.44 percent in the same period. Diagnostic Substances: This industry fell 2.2 percent by 11:00 am ET. Capnia Inc CAPN shares dropped 8.7 percent in today's trading. Capnia shares have tumbled 75.26 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has dropped 3.44 percent in the same period. Drugs Wholesale: The industry dropped 2.1 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was McKesson Corporation MCK, which declined 3.5 percent. McKesson will cut 1,600 jobs, or 4 percent of its U.S. workforce, Bloomberg reported.
