Cal-Maine, Others Allegedly Forced Egg Prices Higher: Report

An egg cartel consisting of Cal-Maine, Hillandale Farms, whose eggs were at the heart of 2010's massive recall, Michael Foods, National Food Corp., Ohio Fresh Eggs and Rose Acre Farms, worked together to limit domestic supply, which ultimately lifted wholesale prices by as much as 40% in 2008.
