HBO's "Game of Thrones" was for the fifth year in a row, the most pirated TV-show of 2016, an analysis by TorrentFreak revealed. The epic drama saw the most downloads via BitTorrent, boasting as much as 350,000 people actively sharing an episode (the season finale) across several torrents.
HBO and its parent company, Time Warner Inc TWX, probably aren't very happy with this, but they aren't the only companies losing revenue on the back of the popular torrent client.
The series completing the top 10 of most pirated shows on the Internet, measured by single episodes' shares and downloads:
