Forrest Innovations Seeks Project Financing To Combat Dengue Crisis In Brazil

The dengue crisis in Brazil has reached alarming proportions, driven by a combination of urbanization, climate change, and inefficient public systems. Urban areas, particularly those lacking proper sanitation, become the breeding grounds for mosquitos, while climate change has created more favorable conditions for their proliferation. Also, the recent El Niño season further aggravated the crisis, impacting regions across South America, including Brazil. As the country grapples with one of the worst outbreaks in recent history, Forrest Innovations steps forward with its proven and groundbreaking solution that curbs the spread of this deadly disease. 

Forrest Innovation has been diligently working on a comprehensive system to address the dengue epidemic in Brazil. Leveraging years of research and optimization, Forrest has developed a solution that targets the cyclical nature of mosquito breeding, aiming to disrupt their life cycle and prevent further transmission of the disease. 

Traditional methods such as insecticide spraying have proven ineffective. By contrast, Forrest Innovations collects the local male mosquitoes and mass-produces sterile males. Once they are sterilized, the team releases 100s of millions of sterile male mosquitoes that mate with females but produce no offspring. Mosquito populations drastically decline due to this and the disease is dramatically reduced.

This innovative approach, coupled with advanced drone technology for mosquito release, has shown a remarkable 99% reduction in some mosquito populations where the method was implemented. In Ortigueira, Brazil, the method reduced dengue cases by 97% compared to neighboring cities in the same period. 

A testament to their recognized success was when the Mayor of Ortigueira, Paraná State stated in an interview, "The population is very happy and confident, we observed a dramatic reduction in the number of dengue cases."

Now, Forrest Innovations is seeking project financing to expand its mosquito control services and engage with communities on a larger scale.

The proposed project runs for a minimum of two years, with recommendations for continuation into subsequent years to maintain the efficacy of mosquito control measures. However, initial capital investment is needed to establish production centers and acquire necessary equipment, akin to building a house from the ground up. Hence, Forrest Innovations seeks a credit line from various financing institutions to support their ambitious endeavor.
