The plush toys that created a cultural craze 30 years ago are back — with a twist. Ty Inc, the creator of the original Beanie Baby has created Beanie Bouncers, plush toys that can bounce up to 50 feet high. The new toys are perfect for getting kids off the couch and into active play, the company says.
For anyone looking for last-minute stocking stuffers or a small gift for children ages 3 and up, Beanie Bouncers are a fun way to get kids off their screens and encourage more physical play. The small, 4-inch plush toys can be tossed, kicked, juggled or dunked, and they cost just $5.99.
“Beanie Bouncers are the perfect, affordable gift for children of all ages offering new possibilities for creative and active play away from their screens,” said Ty Warner, creator of Beanie Babies and Beanie Bouncers. "Kids can invent games and create stories about why they bounce so high. This is a plush toy you can toss, catch, bounce, roll, kick, bowl and collect. Sky's the limit!”
Ty's Beanie Babies were one of the biggest toy fads of the 1990s, with fans young and old collecting hundreds of different characters. Now, a new generation is being introduced to the brand through Beanie Bouncers.
The collection features 12 distinct characters, including fan favorites Leggy the purple octopus and Fins the blue shark. The lineup also includes a monkey named Banana, a panda named Checkers, a bee named Buzzy, a giraffe named Gilbert, cats, bears, a leopard and more.
Ty is committed to local businesses; Beanie Bouncers are available at thousands of individually-owned small gift and specialty shops across the U.S. and the U.K.
Fans are raving about the innovative new toys:
"Beanie Bouncers are bouncing off the shelves at Babyland!” says retailer Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, GA., famously the birthplace of the original Cabbage Patch Kids.
"Ty has done it again! Perfect toy for kids and adults alike. Great play value and a must-have for the holidays. Can't keep them in stock,” said Katie's Ice Cream in Roanoke, VA.
"As soon as customers pick them up they realize they bounce and it is addictive,” according to Icandy in Las Vegas, NV.
"Very exciting new product from Ty,” said Kid to Kid in North Palm Beach, FL. “And it gets the kids off their iPad/cell phones and playing.”
