Joe Rogan Says We're Being Manipulated By Health Organizations Paid By The Pharmaceutical Drug Interests – 'The Government Is In On It'

In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan hosted YouTuber Bob Gylman and discussed several controversial topics, including mask mandates during COVID-19 and the pharmaceutical industry’s influence on vaccine distribution.

Don't Miss:

Rogan suggested that profit influences public health policies rather than genuine concern for people’s well-being. He said, “We live in a world where we’re being manipulated by these health organizations that are being paid by the pharmaceutical drug interests and these pharmaceutical drug companies are pumping these products out into the population and telling us that we need them and then making insane amounts of money.”

“The government is in on it,” he also said, and explained further that they share a patent and profits with Moderna, pointing out that “there’s the revolving door between the CDC and the FDA and then these pharmaceutical drug companies so the people that make the regulations then go on to have these cushy jobs with the pharmaceutical drug corporations.”

While Rogan and RFK Jr. have expressed doubts about vaccines, most experts argue that their claims are misleading or based on incomplete information. Scientists agree that vaccines are safe and effective and have helped reduce COVID-19's impact. Public health officials and researchers have also strongly challenged RFK Jr.’s views on vaccines, debunking his positions because they lack solid scientific support.

However, the FDA revolving door is real. According to research published in a leading medical journal, more than a quarter of the FDA employees responsible for approving cancer and hematology drugs between 2001 and 2010 have since left the agency to work or consult for pharmaceutical companies.

Yet again, Rogan voiced skepticism about masks’ effectiveness and raised concerns about the relationship between government health agencies and pharmaceutical companies, particularly regarding mRNA vaccines.

For example, he criticized the enforcement of mask mandates during COVID-19, saying, “You saw it in Australia, people getting arrested for being outside without a mask on … it’s nonsense, it doesn’t work. There’s no evidence whatsoever that it’s effective.”

On the other hand, scientists generally say that masks can help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by blocking droplets that can carry the virus, protecting both the wearer and others. Their effectiveness depends on the mask type and how well it’s worn. Still imperfect, masks are useful when combined with other measures like vaccines and social distancing.

Rogan's views, particularly his endorsement of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s criticisms of vaccines, have been highly controversial. RFK Jr. has been labeled an “anti-vaxxer,” a term Rogan touched upon when he said, “People don’t want to talk about it because they don’t want to be attacked … they don’t want to be called an anti-vaxxer.”

During the episode, Rogan complimented RFK Jr., calling him “reasonable and intelligent,” and criticized how both political sides often manipulate their followers. Many people quickly took this as Rogan endorsing RFK Jr., which upset many Trump supporters who felt Rogan was betraying Trump by seeming to support another candidate.

After the backlash, Rogan clarified that he wasn’t officially endorsing RFK Jr. He just liked how RFK Jr. talked about issues calmly and respectfully. Even though Rogan explained this, the criticism kept coming, with Trump even suggesting on social media that Rogan might get a negative response from his supporters.
