Some people make so much money that they start to question if this is all life has to offer. Financial expert Dave Ramsey recently spoke with one of these people on "The Ramsey Show."
He welcomed a 26-year-old caller to the show who has a $5 million net worth. Naturally, Ramsey was impressed with how successful the 26-year-old had become. However, the call didn't have much to do with money. Instead, the caller asked Ramsey for the meaning of life, and Ramsey confirmed an important truth for the caller.
"Just stacking cash doesn't have meaning."
Ramsey proceeded to give the caller advice on living a more fulfilling life.

Giving Vs. Getting
Ramsey took the spiritual route and discussed his faith during this call. He touched upon how being of service leads to a more fulfilling life. Whether it's being a part of your local church, volunteering at a local non-profit, or mentoring someone, giving can go a long way.
"True joy comes from serving, not through getting," Ramsey said during the episode.
Approaching life from that perspective can give you a greater sense of purpose. While work is a part of living a fulfilled life, only focusing on money will leave you lacking in key areas like spirituality and social relationships.

Get Out Of The House
The caller mentioned that he still lives with his mom despite having $5.5 million saved up. Ramsey immediately recommended that the caller get an apartment and embrace a healthier diet. Health entered the conversation because the caller mentioned that he only eats McDonald's and Chipotle all day.
Not everyone should move out of their parent's house. It's not a financially feasible move for everyone, but Ramsey views the move as part of becoming an adult. The caller's girlfriend seems to have the same stance. She's known him since middle school, and she jokes about why she's still dating him despite him living in his mother's basement. Ramsey and the caller had a good laugh when that was mentioned.

The Money Game Is Not Solved Yet
Although the caller is off to a tremendous start, Ramsey cautioned the caller about assuming that the money game is solved. Ramsey proceeded to mention that he had $4 million worth of real estate at 26 and went bankrupt at 30.
Fortunes can change quickly, so it's still important to be prudent about money. The caller seems to be in a good position, but Ramsey wanted to mention that detail.
However, it's also good to spend money from time to time when you have built a strong financial foundation and want to enhance the quality of your life. Ramsey mentioned enjoying better meals with his girlfriend and setting his sights on a house. The caller mentioned wanting to buy a dream house, and Ramsey said that's a good goal.
The 26-year-old caller has done well for himself. Following Ramsey's advice can help him find more fulfillment in his life that stretches beyond finances.
