Kevin O'Leary Shares His $0 Wellness Secret – 'Watch What You Eat... That's An Easy Hack' For Success

Kevin O'Leary isn't just managing portfolios—he's managing his health like an asset. In a recent Instagram post, the "Shark Tank" investor shared his no-cost wellness routine, calling it a crucial part of his success strategy.

"Watch what you eat… that's an easy hack," he said, urging others to see health as a long-term investment. O'Leary, who lives part-time in Miami, revealed how daily fitness, clean eating, and avoiding harmful habits keep his body—and business mind—on track.

Treat Your Body Like A Business

O'Leary’s routine starts with a 12-mile bike ride through the Miami streets, followed by strength training and stretching.

He spends about 90 minutes each day on his wellness regimen. "You've got to exercise every day," O'Leary said in the video. "What I like to do… is take my bike out for a 12-mile ride every day and then do some weights, a little stretching."

According to O'Leary, the key to career longevity is physical and mental wellness. He compared personal health to managing a financial portfolio, saying that taking care of your body has

dire complications for productivity.

"You know, you invest in so many things as an investor, but you also have to invest in yourself—physical fitness and longevity," he said.

Backed By Science

O'Leary's fitness claims align with current research. A review published in March in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that even light-intensity exercise improves memory and executive function across all age groups.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also supports this, stating that regular physical activity boosts brain health and may reduce dementia risk.

Nutrition Is the Real MVP

In his Instagram post, O'Leary also emphasized mindful eating as a foundation for energy and focus. "Do not overeat, and really watch what you eat… you feel great, and you're helping your body," he said.

Small behavioral changes—such as mindful eating and self-monitoring—can significantly improve both physical and mental health, according to a study co-authored by Dr. Amy Ahern of the University of Cambridge's MRC Epidemiology Unit. These findings support O'Leary's claim that simple actions can yield outsized benefits.

Skip the Vices

O'Leary also warned about behaviors that could sabotage success: binge drinking, smoking, and drug use. "Watch how much you drink. Don't do a lot of drugs, that's bad for you," he said.
