(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DJT#NASDAQ">DJT</a>) shares gained <a href="https://benzinga.grsm.io/register174">in premarket trading </a>on Monday, rising along with the index futures, which are priming for a modestly to moderately higher open.
The gain by the publicly-listed media firm owned by former President Donald Trump comes after the developments over the weekend, which saw presumptive Democratic nominee and President Joe Biden announcing his decision to quit the race. The president endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, who was his running mate, for the presidency. Most Democrats have thrown their weight behind her.
Former President Bill Clinton and his wife and former presidential nominee Hillary Clinton have endorsed Harris. On the other hand, former President Barack Obama is in favor of an open nomination at the Democratic party&#8217;s convention. &#8220;We will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead. But I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges,&#8221; he said in a statement.
As the Democratic camp goes about a turbulent period, the advantage is clearly with Trump despite his criminal lawsuits, his age and voters not really warming up to him.

Trump has a majority 64.9% stake in TMTG, which owns the Truth Social platform, thanks to the 114.7 million shares he owns in the company. The company went public on March 26 following the consummation of its long-delayed merger with the SPAC, Digital World Acquisition Corp.
Since then the stock has had a volatile ride and traded between a high and low of $79.38 (post-SPAC merger high) and $22.55 (Apr. 16).
The stock spiked higher, topping the $40 mark after the June 26 debate, before retracing some of the gains. In March, GQ released its list of the 20 most creative companies worldwide. I&rsquo;m going to turn those into top stock picks for the second half of 2024 and beyond.&nbsp;




&ldquo;We&rsquo;re showcasing the companies around the world that are leveraging creativity in order to drive business and make the world a better place. What do we mean by creativity? Ingenuity. Innovation. Originality. Fearlessness,&rdquo; GQ&rsquo;s Alex Hoyt and Jaimie Ding <a href="https://www.gq.com/story/the-20-most-creative-companies-in-the-world">wrote</a> on March 27.&nbsp;




Of the companies on the list, I believe 11 of them are listed on a stock exchange in the U.S. or elsewhere.&nbsp;



The names on the list I won&rsquo;t recommend include Tesla (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/tsla-stock-quote/">TSLA</a>), Prada (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/prdsy-stock-quote/">PRDSY</a>), Nintendo (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/ntdoy-stock-quote/">NTDOY</a>), Apple (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/aapl-stock-quote/">AAPL</a>) and Microsoft (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/msft-stock-quote/">MSFT</a>). That&rsquo;s three from Magnificent Seven and two other popular consumer brands.&nbsp;



The three names that I&rsquo;m going with are great creators, but also brilliant business operators, whose shares will go up more often than down over the long haul.&nbsp;



<h2>New York Times Co. (NYT)</h2>

(NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/nyt-stock-quote/">NYT</a>) has managed to survive &mdash; and even thrive &mdash; while so many news outlets have gone belly up.&nbsp;




&ldquo;We think the Times should be the essential subscription for every curious English-speaking person around the world,&rdquo; NYT Chief product officer Alex Hardiman told GQ.&nbsp;




Full disclosure: I subscribe to the Times. While it&rsquo;s primarily for my work endeavors, I do enjoy all the arts and leisure coverage, and we can&rsquo;t forget the puzzles. But most importantly, as Hoyt and Ding wrote, it earns over $2 billion from its 10 million customers.



However, beyond some headline numbers, I know very little about the company founded by Henry Jarvis Raymond and George Jones in <a href="https://www.nytco.com/company/history/our-history/">1851</a>. In 1896, Adolph S. Ochs acquired the paper for $75,000.&nbsp;



He and his grandson, Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, who was <a href="https://www.britannica.com/biography/Arthur-Ochs-Sulzberger">publisher</a> for nearly 30 years, from 1963 to 1992, made the paper the respected publication it is today.



Due to the dual-class share structure, the company is <a href="https://nytco-assets.nytimes.com/2024/03/427084-1_5_New-York-Times-Proxy_WR_R02-Final.pdf">controlled</a> by the Ochs-Sulzerger Trust.



Importantly, its adjusted operating profit margin in <a href="https://nytco-assets.nytimes.com/2024/05/Q124-Earnings-Release-Final-For-Distribution-rhHXIYbe.pdf">Q1 2024</a> was 12.8%, 320 basis points higher than a year ago.&nbsp;



<h2>Deckers Outdoor (DECK)</h2>

In <a href="https://investorplace.com/2022/08/stock-splits-7-companies-that-should-follow-teslas-lead/">August 2022</a>, I suggested that Deckers ought to split its stock to increase its liquidity and share count. At the time, it traded around $326. It&rsquo;s now trading nearly $1,000. When Hoka was acquired in 2013, management thought the brand&rsquo;s revenues might be able to hit $100 million some day.&nbsp;



In late May, it reported <a href="https://ir.deckers.com/news-events/press-releases/press-release/2024/DECKERS-BRANDS-REPORTS-FOURTH-QUARTER-AND-FULL-FISCAL-YEAR-2024-FINANCIAL-RESULTS/">Q4 2024</a> results. Hoka&rsquo;s revenues in the fourth quarter alone were $533 million. For the entire year they were $1.81 billion, 18x the company&rsquo;s goal a decade ago.




&ldquo;Now, in addition to winning over athletes (Hoka is the official shoe of Ironman Triathlons), the brand is hot with the fashion set&mdash;they&rsquo;re doling out buzzy collabs with streetwear darlings Brain Dead and lining the shelves of boutiques like Nepenthes in New York and The Broken Arm in Paris,&rdquo; GQ reported.&nbsp;








If Nvidia (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/nvda-stock-quote/">NVDA</a>) can do a 10-for-1 split, Deckers should too. It&rsquo;s a keeper.



<h2>LVMH (LVMUY)</h2>

He then went and cut 9,000 workers from the payroll, sold off non-core businesses for $500 million, and made Dior the foundation of his luxury empire.




&ldquo;In the 90s, I had the idea of a luxury group and at the time I was very much criticized for it. I remember people telling me it doesn&rsquo;t make sense to put together so many brands. And it was a success &hellip; And for the last 10 years now, every competitor is trying to imitate, which is very rewarding for us. I think they are not successful but they try,&rdquo; Arnault <a href="https://www.maxim.com/news/bernard-arnault-2019-3/">told CNBC</a> in 2018.




As GQ points out, LVMH has moved beyond luxury fashion into luxury experiences such as its work with Accor (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/accyy-stock-quote/">ACCYY</a>) to build the <a href="https://www.lvmh.com/news-documents/news/lvmh-and-accor-join-forces-to-take-orient-express-to-new-horizons/">Orient Express brand</a>, which will include future hotels, trains and sailing ships.&nbsp;



LVMH currently offers luxury experiences and hospitality through its Belmond brand, which it acquired for $3.2 billion, including the assumption of debt, in <a href="https://www.lvmh.com/news-documents/press-releases/lvmh-reaches-an-agreement-with-belmond-to-increase-its-presence-in-the-ultimate-hospitality-world/#:~:text=LVMH%20is%20to%20acquire%20Belmond,adjusted%20EBITDA%20of%20%24140%20million.">2019</a>.&nbsp;



It&rsquo;s an amazing business.&nbsp;

Additionally, the firm has enriched its customer experience with Walmart+, a subscription service offering perks like quick checkout and free delivery. IPOs are sluggish in Asia-Pacific but growing in the Americas and EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa). Global IPO volumes <a href="https://www.ey.com/en_gl/newsroom/2024/06/global-ipo-divergence-widens-as-americas-and-emeia-surge-and-asia-pacific-slows#:~:text=Globally%2C%20in%20the%20first%20half,seeing%20robust%20growth%20in%20H1.">fell 12% in the first half of 2024,</a> while proceeds fell 16% year-over-year due to reduced Asia-Pacific activity.



The message is clear: America is still the place to raise IPO funds. Biotech alone witnessed 10 deals for $1.6 billion in Q1 2024. Rising equity markets and investor appetite for large, well-publicized mergers back this comeback; seven Q1 2024 IPOs <a href="https://www.ey.com/en_us/insights/ipo/ipo-market-trends">raised above $500 million</a> each in Q1&rsquo;24.



Tempus AI (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/tem-stock-quote/">TEM</a>), a healthcare technology startup, <a href="https://www.tempus.com/news/pr/tempus-announces-pricing-of-initial-public-offering/">surged dramatically</a> after its Nasdaq IPO, as did Reddit (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/rddt-stock-quote/">RDDT</a>), <a href="https://www.reuters.com/markets/deals/reddit-set-hotly-anticipated-debut-after-pricing-ipo-top-range-2024-03-21/#:~:text=Shares%20of%20the%20San%20Francisco,selling%20shareholders%20raised%20%24748%20million.">which raised $748 million</a> in its IPO.



The 2024 IPO market <a href="https://www.marketwatch.com/story/reddit-shein-and-stripe-may-lead-a-revived-ipo-market-in-2024-9ca8693c">should be busy,</a> according to Renaissance Capital; 120 to 170 IPOs might raise $20 to $45 billion. Thus, promising new IPOs are ones to watch out for. For our analysis of promising new IPOs, we&rsquo;ll concentrate on American markets due to their size and performance this year.

Over 21 rounds, Stripe has funded $9.4 billion, including $6.5 billion in 2023. The company has many business divisions after 67 investments, including recent ones in Remark and Vengo AI.



To develop U.K. businesses and services, Stripe released an <a href="https://stripe.com/newsroom/news/tour-london-2024#:~:text=Today%2C%20Stripe%20launched%20its%20first,directly%20from%20their%20bank%20account.">open banking-powered payment</a> method. Its sophisticated fraud prevention and detection ensure payment security and timeliness, giving it an additional edge in the new market.



As their main international payments partner, Stripe has partnered with Accor (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/accyy-stock-quote/">ACCYY</a>) and extended its enterprise offerings to France.



Tracking behind PayPal (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/pypl-stock-quote/">PYPL</a>) but ahead of Block (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/sq-stock-quote/">SQ</a>) and Adyen (OTCMKTS:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/adyey-stock-quote/">ADYEY</a>), Stripe <a href="https://capitaloneshopping.com/research/stripe-statistics/">has 17.4% of the</a> U.S. payment processing market. The firm processes over $1 trillion in payments in 2023, making it a worldwide player.



Finally, <a href="https://stripe.com/newsroom/news/sessions-2024">over 50 product announcements</a> came from the 2024 Stripe Sessions. Connect advances payment and platform technologies driven by artificial intelligence. In 23 countries, Stripe debuted Stripe Reader S700 using Oracle Opera and Adobe Commerce.

This makes it a sought-after possible choice among upcoming new IPOs. In five fundraising events since 2019, <a href="https://www.retaildive.com/news/kim-kardashians-skims-opens-first-permanent-store-georgetown-washington-dc/719088/">the brand has raised $701 million.</a>



Regarding going public, Skims does not have a timetable available. Former Nike (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/nke-stock-quote/">NKE</a>) executive Andy Muir <a href="https://www.cityindex.com/en-uk/news-and-analysis/skims-ipo/">was appointed chief financial officer</a> last year; this action was viewed as a prelude for the IPO. That moment, however, has passed.



Still, <a href="https://www.cityindex.com/en-uk/news-and-analysis/skims-ipo/">with $750 million in sales</a> and a net profit of $190 million in 2023 &mdash; 50% higher than in past years &mdash; it is becoming impossible to overlook Skims among perhaps exciting new IPOs.



Apart from getting ready for its IPO, Skims is establishing big stores in Los Angeles and New York City to really strengthen its brand.



The first TV commercial <a href="https://www.marketingbrew.com/stories/2024/04/01/skims-tv-campaign-kim-kardashian-brand-expansion#:~:text=Skims's%20first%20TV%20spot%2C%20%E2%80%9CSkims,Kennedy%2C%20which%20created%20the%20ad">Skims</a> produced, &ldquo;SKIMS Lab,&rdquo; also appeared at the 2024 Oscars. Kim Kardashian will highlight the company&rsquo;s exclusive shapewear in upcoming commercials. Not only are well-known &ldquo;Fits Everybody&rdquo; basketball players <a href="https://www.wnba.com/news/skims-underwear-campaign">part of a new WNBA alliance</a> for the brand, but the company also designed a limited edition Team U.S.A. line-up just in time for the 2024 Olympics.



<h2>StubHub</h2>

Goldman Sachs (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/gs-stock-quote/">GS</a>) and JPMorgan (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/jpm-stock-quote/">JPM</a>) reportedly have already delivered secretly to regulators paperwork related to StubHub going public.



From 2000 until today, StubHub has been a top live entertainment ticket marketplace. EBay (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/ebay-stock-quote/">EBAY</a>) purchased this site in 2007; Viagogo purchased it for $4.05 billion in 2019. StubHub is secure and simple to use, with numerous corporate and sports team relationships. Ticket selection is vast in over 90 countries.



Operating in a very competitive but profitable sector, StubHub is one of the most exciting new IPOs; the secondary ticket market, projected at $2.85 billion in 2023, is forecast to expand <a href="https://straitsresearch.com/report/secondary-tickets-market">at a CAGR of 9.7%</a> to reach $6.56 billion by 2032.



StubHub has shown a clear increase in ticket sales, <a href="https://apnews.com/article/wnba-ticket-sales-1de458d78b25b8fc35a8101958fbe0e6">especially with WNBA events</a> seeing a 93% rise, indicating a strong resurgence and growing demand in the live events industry.
