Stocks That Hit 52-Week Highs On Tuesday

Applied Energetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/aerg#NASDAQ">AERG</a>), and Laser Light Technologies, Inc., today announced that they have entered into a Cooperative Work Agreement to jointly develop ultrashort pulse lasers and processes for the laser micromachining market.

Under terms of the agreement Applied Energetics will provide an ultrashort pulse laser to Laser Light Technologies (LLTI) for the purpose of developing processes and methods for conducting micromachining of a wide variety of materials. LLTI will provide AE expertise on micromachining of materials at AE's Laser Applications Center, and also provide feedback on the optimization of processes for use in the development of future USP laser systems. Additionally, LLTI will be able to sell AE's USP lasers to their customers on a commission basis.

(NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/llen#NASDAQ">LLEN</a>) gained 0.67 (16.07%) to $4.84 on short covering as the stock had slumped about 30% in the past one week after Glaucus Research issued a "Strong Sell" rating and highlighted a number of concerns about the company. The firm sees an estimated value of &lt;$1.00 per share.

Liquidity Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/lqdt#NASDAQ">LQDT</a>) increased 3.06 (12.50%) to $27.49 after the company said that it earned $0.52 on an adjusted basis on revenue of $72.75 in its second quarter, ahead of analysts' estimates of 20 cents a share on revenue of $82.30 million.

Applied Energetics, Inc., (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/aerg#NASDAQ">AERG</a>) today announced it has been awarded a $746 thousand Small Business Innovation Research Phase II contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory. The Phase I project was completed in December of 2010. The Company demonstrated in Phase I that its proprietary "Nested High Voltage" insulation geometry successfully reduces the volume required to insulate high voltages while being compatible and convenient for the production of militarized systems where space, volume, and reliability are critical factors.
