Needham analyst Tom Nikic initiated Nike, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NKE#NYSE">NKE</a>) with a Buy rating and a<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/NKE/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener"> price forecast of $84.</a>
The analyst suggests that Nike&#8217;s worst may nearly be over, with the recent CEO transition from John Donohoe to Nike veteran Elliott Hill seen as a major turning point &#8211; &#8220;Nike&#8217;s proverbial white knight.&#8221;
The analyst also acknowledges that management accepts past mistakes and takes decisive steps to correct them.
Although these strategies may pressure profits on P&amp;L in the short term, they are viewed as the right moves for the company, Nikic writes.
While rebuilding the brand&#8217;s momentum will take time, the analyst sees potential for Nike to become an attractive &#8220;story stock&#8221; in 2025, especially if performance has hit its lowest point and investors view Elliott Hill as the company&#8217;s savior.

However, per Nikic, this updated estimate accurately reflects the necessary adjustments Nike needs to make.
The analyst also projects revenue declines to peak in the second half of 2024 and the first half of 2025 as Nike reduces over-distributed styles.
If revenue trends improve in the coming quarters and the EPS revision cycle turns positive, the analyst forecasts Nike&#8217;s stock could start rising.
The analyst projects Nike to report FY25 revenues of $47.383 billion, with earnings per share of $2.67.

What's Driving Small-Cap Success For iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) In November?

Risk appetite remained robust in the final trading session of the week, with all major U.S. indices poised to close the week in positive territory. Small-cap stocks outperformed their large-cap counterparts, continuing their <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/small-cap">recent streak of dominance</a>.
Fresh business surveys highlighted a notable health in the U.S. economy, with private sector activity recording its strongest expansion in over two and a half years. The services sector, in particular, showed remarkable growth, maintaining its rapid pace of expansion.
The Russell 2000, a benchmark for small-cap equities, surged 1.7% on Friday, building on a 1.5% gain from the previous session. The S&amp;P 500 edged higher, heading for a five-day winning streak, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed past the 44,000 mark, moving tantalizingly close to record highs. Technology stocks posted more modest gains.

What To Know: Under the plan, Stone plans to repurchase shares worth up to R$ 2 billion ($344.6 million).
The repurchase plan will replace its previous program, announced last year, in which Stone repurchased a total of 13,202,939 shares at an average price of R$ 20.45 per share, totaling R$ 1.03 billion.
&#8220;We are pleased to announce the completion of our previous R$1 billion share repurchase program, underscoring our robust financial position. As part of our ongoing commitment to maximizing shareholder returns, we continuously evaluate the most effective use of our resources,&#8221; said Pedro Zinner, CEO.
&#8220;Confident in our long-term vision, we have approved a new buyback program to seize the current market opportunities. Furthermore, we are finalizing a structured framework to guide our capital allocation strategy, which will enhance transparency and align with our strategic priorities once shared with the market.&#8221;

What's Going On With StoneCo Stock Friday?

CV Sciences, Inc. (OTCQB:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CVSI#OTCQB">CVSI</a>) a hemp-focused wellness company announced on Thursday it's acquiring Extract Labs, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of premium cannabinoid products including gummies, topicals and tinctures.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What Happened</h3>
The company noted that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Extract Labs for the following considerations:
<ul>
<li>cash payment of $400,000, less the amount of certain holdbacks and adjustments; and</li>
<li>the issuance of shares of&nbsp;CV Sciences&#8217; common stock valued at $1 million based on the sixty-day volume weighted average price of CV Sciences&#8217; common stock.</li>
</ul>
Additionally, under the deal, Extract Labs sellers will be eligible to receive up to $600,000 of additional shares of CV Sciences&#8217; common stock if Extract Labs satisfies certain revenue targets during the first year following the closing date.

Extract Labs' branded products are sold through a range of sales channels from business-to-business (B2B) to business-to-consumer (B2C).
Moreover, Extract Labs, which is GMP-certified and FDA-registered, has operational flexibility that allows for low to large minimum order quantity production runs, making the use of capital and the ability to increase speed to market for new product development more efficient.
CV Sciences says it expects the transaction will create the opportunity to increase its sales to current and new clients.
"The acquisition synergies are expected to increase our revenue and customer base, allow us to leverage our key assets, optimize operations and processes, and drive long-term growth and shareholder value," said CEO Joseph Dowling. "Extract Labs is a stand-alone profitable business and our plan is to increase its existing revenue base and further leverage its existing capacity."
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What's Next</h3>
The acquisition is expected to close during the first quarter of 2025, subject to customary conditions precedent. The company also plans to in-source production of certain of its key products.
"We are planning to in-source the manufacturing of select +PlusCBD branded products providing an opportunity for meaningful cost savings. Extract Labs manufacturing capability will provide us with greater control over our supply chain and accelerate our new product development cycle,&#8221; Dowling said.

CV Sciences' shares traded 9.09% lower at $0.04 per share after the market close on Thursday afternoon.

Ross Stores reported quarterly earnings of $1.48 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.40 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $5.07 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $5.15 billion.
Barbara Rentler, Chief Executive Officer, commented, &#8220;We are disappointed with our third quarter sales results as business slowed from the solid gains we reported in the first half of 2024. Although our low-to-moderate income customers continue to face persistently high costs on necessities pressuring their discretionary spending, we believe we should have better executed some of our merchandising initiatives. In addition, a combination of severe weather during the quarter from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, along with unseasonably warm temperatures, also negatively impacted our results.&#8221;
The company said it sees FY25 earnings of $6.10 to $6.17 per share.
Ross Stores shares gained 2.7% to trade at $146.80 on Friday.
These analysts made changes to their price targets on Ross Stores following earnings announcement.

Ross Stores Analysts Boost Their Forecasts After Upbeat Earnings

China has launched a new AI Experts Committee to influence artificial intelligence&#8217;s global development and governance as part of its broader strategy. 
The committee was announced during the four-day World Internet Conference, also known as the Wuzhen Summit, held in Zhejiang province, China.
The AI Experts Committee will be led by Wang Jian, founder of Alibaba Group Holding (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BABA#NYSE">BABA</a>) Alibaba Cloud, who was named chief expert, SCMP <a href="https://www.scmp.com/tech/tech-trends/article/3287593/wuzhen-summit-china-creates-ai-advisory-body-alibaba-cloud-founder-chief-expert" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">reports</a>.

"We are betraying our children by letting these industries poison them," Kennedy said at a Trump campaign rally Nov. 2.
The potential HHS secretary has often targeted breakfast cereals in particular due to their popularity with children. 
"They get brighter colors in Froot Loops, but it's literally poisoning our kids," Kennedy told Fox News in September.&nbsp;
Froot Loops maker Kellogg said in 2015 that it was working to remove artificial colors and flavors from its branded cereals by the end of 2018, <a href="https://www.wsj.com/business/how-froot-loops-landed-at-the-center-of-u-s-food-politics-a5074e63">according</a> to the Wall Street Journal.  WK Kellogg Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KLG#NYSE">KLG</a>) still sells cereal that contains the ingredients.
"The first thing I'd do isn't going to cost you anything because I'm just gonna tell the cereal companies: Take all the dyes out of their food," Kennedy said in October.
Kennedy's potential new role as the country's top health official has caught the attention of other food industry giants like General Mills, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GIS#NYSE">GIS</a>). The mega-manufacturer of processed foods released a statement after Trump announced Kennedy as his choice for the position. 
"Because this is always an evolving space, we work in close partnership with policymakers on this issue," General Mills said in the statement. "We will engage with federal regulators as they consider any additional changes they may propose."
Why It Matters: Trump has said <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/24/11/41822473/trumps-potential-health-czar-robert-f-kennedy-jr-rattles-vaccine-stocks-shoot-first-reaction">he is ready</a> to let Kennedy "go wild on health" and he could &#8220;do pretty much what he wants&#8221; in his administration. In his announcement of his intent to nominate Kennedy as secretary of HHS, Trump said he expects him to "end the chronic disease epidemic , and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!"
"Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation and disinformation when it comes to public health," Trump's announcement stated.&nbsp;

Kennedy's War On Food Dyes Could Be Coming To Your Breakfast Table

It was big news earlier this year when Warren Buffett revealed he's no longer planning to leave his vast fortune to the Gates Foundation after his death. Instead, his billions will go to a trust <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/startups/24/11/41866296/with-warren-buffett-donating-99-of-his-fortune-whats-left-for-his-three-children-well-its-complicated">managed by his three children</a>. For a man who once described <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/24/11/41882910/bill-gates-shares-the-best-investment-for-getting-rich-if-youre-earning-100000-or-less-but-wall-street-might-not-agree">Bill and Melinda Gates</a> as "the perfect solution" for dispersing his wealth, this marked a seismic shift in philanthropy.

In a 2008 Fortune profile, Buffett was clear in his admiration for Melinda, saying, "He's [Bill] smart as hell. But in terms of seeing the whole picture, she's smarter." He also referred to her as a "longtime friend." Buffett continued praising Melinda, saying, "I very much admire what she is doing for women around here and around the world."
Only weeks after the Gateses announced their divorce, Buffett resigned as a trustee of the foundation. As reported by The New York Times in a 2021 article, Buffett released a statement saying: "For years I have been a trustee – an inactive trustee at that – of only one recipient of my funds, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. I am now resigning from that post, just as I have done at all corporate boards other than Berkshire's."
Warren Buffett may think Bill Gates is "smart as hell," but even he admitted in his Fortune profile, "Would I have given the Gates Foundation my fortune if Melinda weren't in the picture? That's a great question. And the answer is, I'm not sure."

The Buffett connection looms large in the October 2024 Vanity Fair interview, where Melinda discusses her life after divorce, the challenges of being a woman in philanthropy and her legacy. In classic Melinda style, she doesn't shy away from tough truths. She noted her decades of joint philanthropic work with Bill: "If I went into a president or prime minister's office and I was with my ex-husband, they would turn to him first. Unless I interrupted the conversation, they could have kept going for the whole meeting."

Grand Theft Auto fans had high hopes for today, Nov. 22, anticipating an announcement for GTA 6's Trailer 2 <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/gaming/24/11/41884190/did-rockstar-drop-gta-6-trailer-hint-fans-spot-moon-clue-pointing-to-nov-22">based on a quirky "moon theory."</a>
Instead, they have been met with silence so far (as of publication), leaving the community frustrated and speculating about Rockstar's next move.

The moon theory traces back to 2023 when Rockstar released an image in GTA Online featuring the moon in a Waning Gibbous phase. That phase coincided with the announcement date for the first GTA 6 trailer two months later.

But today, fans were met with no updates from Rockstar or <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/11/41818430/take-two-earnings-show-gta-6-on-track-for-2025-ceo-vows-no-huge-release-overlap">its parent company, Take-Two Interactive Software Inc </a>(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TTWO#NASDAQ">TTWO</a>), which typically makes announcements around 9 am ET.
