Zeta Global Shares Beat Peers To Rise 125% In 2024: Breaking Down The Numbers

Chinese EV giant BYD Co Ltd (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) is reportedly offering discounts of up to 11.5% on its Song Pro DM-i and Qin Plus EV vehicle models.
What Happened: The Song Pro DM-i and the Qin Plus EV now have a starting price of 99,800 yuan, marking a discount of 11.5% and 9.1% from their price before the discount, Reuters reported. The discount is valid until Jan. 26.
BYD is China&#8217;s biggest EV seller and a major rival to American EV giant Tesla Inc. However, unlike Tesla, BYD makes both plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles, together referred to as new energy vehicles. 
Why It Matters: In the last quarter of 2023, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42680542/tesla-or-byd-which-ev-giant-will-sell-more-battery-electric-vehicles-in-q4">BYD sold 526,409 battery electric vehicles</a>, effectively replacing Tesla as the world's biggest seller of BEVs. Tesla in that quarter delivered just 484,507 units.
Tesla regained its position as the world's top seller of BEVs in the first quarter after selling 386,810 BEVs, 86,696 units more than BYD. Tesla kept up its lead in both Q2 and Q3.

Nio Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NIO#NYSE">NIO</a>) brand Onvo said on Friday that it has delivered <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/tech/24/12/42681165/nios-onvo-brand-helps-spur-delivery-growth-with-cheaper-offering">20,000 units of its L60 SUV</a> within 100 days of commencing deliveries. 
What Happened: Onvo made the announcement via a post on the social media platform Weibo. 
Nio launched its family-oriented lower-priced EV brand Onvo in May this year. The company launched the L60 SUV on Sept. 19 and started deliveries on Sept. 28.
Now, merely a hundred days after launch, the company delivered 20,000 units.
The Onvo L60 is a mid-size electric SUV that starts at 206,900 yuan ($28,347) with the battery pack included, much lower than Tesla's affordable models Model 3 or Model Y in China.
Why It Matters: In September, Nio delivered 832 Onvo L60s despite having only a few selling days. In October, the first full month of sales, Onvo deliveries rose to 4,319. In November, L60 deliveries rose to 5,082. 
This implies that Onvo has sold 9,767 units of the L60 thus far in December, marking its highest monthly delivery total to date.

The global cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at $3.31 trillion, following a contraction of 3.88% in the last 24 hours.
Trading resumed on Wall Street after the Christmas holiday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average squeezed out a narrow gain of 0.07% to close at 43,325.80. The S&amp;P 500 slid 0.04%, ending at 6,037.59, while the tech-focused Nasdaq Composite closed down 0.05% at 20,020.36.
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/commodities/24/12/42686302/nasdaq-dips-over-100-points-us-initial-jobless-claims-fall">U.S. jobless claims</a> for the week ending Dec. 21 came at 219,000, lower than analyst estimates of 224,000.
The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield remained broadly unchanged at 4.587% after pushing beyond 4.6% early morning.

Analyst Notes: Influential cryptocurrency analyst and trader Ali Martinez called attention to Bitcoin dipping below its "most significant" support level at $97,300.
"So, for the bearish outlook to be invalidated, BTC must reclaim this critical area of support and, more importantly, sustain a daily close above $100,000," Martinez stated.
As it turned out, the leading cryptocurrency failed to reach these predictions, remaining stuck in the $95,000 range.

On Thursday, former U.N. Ambassador and 2024 presidential candidate Nikki Haley took to X to express her support for American workers and culture in response to Department of Government Efficiency Co-head Vivek Ramaswamy.
What Happened: Ramaswamy, who is set to lead DOGE along with Elon Musk under President-elect Donald Trump, had said that the reason why top tech companies often hire foreign-born engineers over U.S.-born engineers isn&#8217;t because of IQ deficit but rather because of &#8220;culture.&#8221;
He said, &#8220;A culture that celebrates the prom queen over the math olympiad champ, or the jock over the valedictorian, will not produce the best engineers.&#8221;
Ramaswamy went on to say that under Trump, the U.S. could have a potential &#8220;Sputnik&#8221; movement and witness the &#8220;beginning of a new golden era.&#8221;

OTC Markets recently released its newest installment of the OTCQX Best 50 list. Released annually, the OTCQX Best 50 is a list of the 50 top-performing companies on the OTCQX Market, its top market tier.&nbsp;

The OTCQX not only includes companies from the U.S. but from all over the globe. As such, companies featured on this list are also listed on various stock exchanges around the world.

The companies on this list are ranked based on their performance during the 2020 calendar year. In addition, the list is based on an equal weighting of one-year total return and average daily dollar volume growth.

According to OTC Markets, the 50 companies on the 2021 OTCQX Best 50 list traded an aggregate of $30.7 billion in dollar volume in 2020, delivering an average total return of 235% to investors.

Coming in as the top-performing company for 2020 is Canadian technology and advertising company AcuityAds Holdings Inc (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ACUIF#OTCQX">ACUIF</a>); much of the company&rsquo;s growth came during the last quarter of the year.&nbsp;

The second top-performer for 2020 is mining company Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NMGRF#OTCQX">NMGRF</a>). Similar to AcuityAds, Nouveau&rsquo;s also experienced the majority of its growth in the last quarter of the year.

Yet, Nouveau Monde Graphite is not the only mining company to grace this year&rsquo;s list. In fact, half of the companies on the 2021 OTCQX Best 50 list belonged to the mining and resources industries. Among some of these companies were Skeena Resources Limited (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SKREF#OTCQX">SKREF</a>), Amex Exploration Inc. (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMXEF#OTCQX">AMXEF</a>), Calibre Mining Corp. (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CXBMF#OTCQX">CXBMF</a>), and Neo Lithium Corp. (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NTTHF#OTCQX">NTTHF</a>).

Two of the mining and resources companies on the list, K92 Mining Inc (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KNTNF#OTCQX">KNTNF</a>) and Teranga Gold Corporation (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TGCDF#OTCQX">TGCDF</a>), made their third consecutive appearance on the OTCQX Best 50.&nbsp;

In addition to K92 Mining and Teranga Gold Corporation, there are four companies from last year&rsquo;s ranking that made their second appearance on this year&rsquo;s list. These four companies are Chesapeake Gold Corp. (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CHPGF#OTCQX">CHPGF</a>), Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (BTC) (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GBTC#OTCQX">GBTC</a>), H2O Innovation Inc. OTCQX: HEOFF), Skeena Resources Limited (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SKREF#OTCQX">SKREF</a>).

Two community banks, PB Financial Corporation (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PBNC#OTCQX">PBNC</a>) and Peoples Financial Corp. (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PFBX#OTCQX">PFBX</a>) were also featured on this year&rsquo;s list.

Companies from emerging and trending sectors such as gaming, crypto, and cannabis also made an appearance on the Best 50 list. Among these companies were Bragg Gaming Group Inc. (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BRGGF#OTCQX">BRGGF</a>), Columbia Care Inc. (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CCHWF#OTCQX">CCHWF</a>), Planet 13 Holdings Inc. (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLNHF#OTCQX">PLNHF</a>) Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund LLC (OTCQX:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GDLC#OTCQX">GDLC</a>), HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd. Out of the 462 companies that were on the OTCQX at the time of ranking, the following criteria were applied in order to be eligible for the Best 50 list: companies were required to have a closing share price of at least $0.25 or greater on December 31, 2020, a closing share price on December 31, 2020, greater than on December 31, 2019, traded at least $500,000 in dollar volume for the year, not be a &quot;penny stock&quot; as defined under SEC Rule 3a51-1 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and be a member of the OTCQX Composite Index.
