Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>) shares received a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/MSFT/analyst-ratings">nice price target bump </a>a week ahead of the software giant&#8217;s quarterly earnings release.
The Microsoft Analyst: Piper Sandler analyst Brent Bracelin reiterated an Overweight rating on Microsoft shares and upped the price target from $465 to $485. The updated price target suggests the stock has about 10% upside potential.
Microsoft took 13 years (from fiscal 2010 to 2023) to achieve a $100 billion annual revenue run-rate for its Cloud services business but the next $100 billion cloud revenue could come in just three years, said Bracelin in a note. Over the 13-years, capex and lease exceeded $176 billion, he noted. The critical data center investments should, therefore, be compressed to support a potential doubling of Microsoft Cloud revenue to $200 billion+ exiting fiscal year 2026, he said.
&#8220;Growth investors should look beyond near-term fears of an AI overbuild with the lens of a broader cloud transformation still underway that could help sustain double-digit top-line and bottom-line growth through 2030,&#8221; the analyst said. He expects the Cloud mix, aided by AI, to expand to 63% by fiscal year 2026, up from 53% today and sharply higher than the 10% in fiscal 2016.

<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/07/39822984/whats-in-store-for-microsoft-in-q4-analyst-sees-azure-strength-double-digit-revenue">Azure, which accounts for 33% of sales,</a> is approaching a $85 billion run-rate, with growth exceeding 30%, Bracelin said. The analyst expects June quarter Azure revenue growth of 32% on a constant currency basis compared to the 30-31% guidance, with AI contributing at least seven percentage points of growth.
The analyst noted that a majority of Microsoft AI shows up in IaaS rather than SaaS, with the proportion at 95% vs. 5%. He expects capex and lease to surpass $19 billion in the June quarter.
As such, the analyst increased his calendar year 2025 earnings per share estimate by 17 cents on slightly higher growth assumptions, and the calendar year 2025 P/E multiple from 33 times to 34 times on strong cloud momentum. The upward adjustment to the price target is to give effect to the revisions to the earnings estimate and the P/E multiple, he added.
Microsoft is scheduled to report its fiscal year 2024 fourth-quarter earnings after the market closes on Tuesday, July 30. Analysts, on average, expect the company to report earnings per share of $2.93 and revenue of $64.35 billion. This compares to the year-ago earnings of $2.69 per share and revenue of $56.19 billion.

Why It Matters: The Cybertruck&#8217;s stainless steel body allows no exterior paint. However, customers can wrap the truck with either wraps available at Tesla&#8217;s online shop or more individualistic wraps from third-party customizers.
Several interestingly wrapped Cybertrucks have emerged on roads and social media to date. While celebrity couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé wrapped their <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/24/02/37406396/jay-z-beyonc-personalize-their-cybertruck-elon-musk-reacts">Cybertruck in matte black</a>, Mexican entrepreneur Alejandro Salomon designed his vehicle wrap after the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/05/38628243/elon-musk-impressed-by-tesla-cybertrucks-world-war-2-inspired-wrap-cool">P-51 Mustang Bomber</a>.
Rapper Lil Baby designed his vehicle wrap to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/07/39613831/elon-musk-thinks-cybertruck-wrap-resembling-marvel-superhero-deadpool-looks-cool">resemble a big apple </a>and footballer Isaiah Simmons wrapped it in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/06/39562595/elon-musk-reacts-to-footballer-isaiah-simmons-white-tesla-cybertruck-parked-up-in-manhattan-nice">matte white with white wheel caps</a>. Elon Musk responded to these, terming them &#8220;cool&#8221; and &#8220;nice.&#8221;
Tesla&#8217;s online shop also provides different color paint films to wrap the vehicle, including stealth black, rose gold, and even abyss blue. The colored wraps are priced between $6,000 and $6,500. A clear paint film, meanwhile, is priced at $5,000.

Volaris Provides Q3 Guidance: Expects ASM (YoY) Of About -14%, TRASM Of ~$9.3 Cents, CASM Excluding Fuel Of ~$5.6 Cents, And An EBITDAR Margin Of ~33%

The U.S. government was seen moving millions in Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) to cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, sparking speculations about the true motivation behind the transfer.
What Happened: According to on-chain data, a wallet linked to the U.S. government deposited 58.74 BTC, worth nearly $4 million, to Coinbase Prime &#8211; a brokerage platform meant for institutional investors.&nbsp;

It is unclear whether the government&#8217;s goal is to unload the holdings or if it is simply a routine fund management exercise.
Additional data shows that the funds were seized by the U.S. Department of Justice from <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-md/pr/father-and-son-sentenced-laundering-drug-trafficking-bitcoin-proceeds-intended-federal">Ryan Farace</a> who was convicted for selling Xanax tablets through Bitcoin on darknet marketplaces.
With the latest transfer, the wallet tied to the Farace Seizure has been emptied.

Why It Matters: The U.S. government has moved out as many as 6,261 state-owned Bitcoins, worth $392 million, in 2024, most of them after the price began to rise in February.
As of this writing, the government still holds more than 213,000 Bitcoin, worth more than $14 billion as per current market prices.&nbsp;
These transfers occur as anticipation grows that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/07/39897980/potential-trump-victory-could-stir-bitcoin-market-bernstein-analysts-predict-implications-">may announce Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset</a> in the upcoming Bitcoin Conference.&nbsp;
Dennis Porter, CEO and Co-Founder of Satoshi Act Fund, has also <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/07/39866338/bitcoin-as-a-strategic-reserve-asset-for-the-us-expert-details-how-trump-could-make-it-hap">suggested adding Bitcoin as a reserve asset</a> to stabilize the value of the U.S. dollar.

Controladora Vuela (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VLRS#NYSE">VLRS</a>) reported quarterly earnings of $0.09 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $0.05 by 80 percent.
