On Thursday, Roche Holdings AG (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RHHBY#OTC">RHHBY</a>) said that the Phase 2/3 SKYSCRAPER-06 study of tiragolumab plus Tecentriq (atezolizumab) and chemotherapy versus pembrolizumab and chemotherapy as first-line treatment for locally advanced unresectable or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer, did not meet <a href="https://www.roche.com/media/releases/med-cor-2024-07-04">its primary endpoints</a> of progression-free survival (PFS) at its primary analysis.
The hazard ratio (HR) was 1.27, and overall survival (OS) at its first interim analysis, with an HR of 1.33, was immature.

The combination of tiragolumab plus Tecentriq and chemotherapy <a target="_blank" href="https://www.roche.com/media/releases/med-cor-2024-07-04" rel="noreferrer noopener">showed</a> reduced efficacy in both PFS and OS compared to the comparator arm in the intent-to-treat population, which includes the phase 2 and phase 3 cohorts.
The overall safety profile remains consistent with those previously observed for the combination of tiragolumab plus Tecentriq and chemotherapy, and no new or unexpected findings were identified.
Based on these results, patients and investigators will be unblinded and Roche intends to halt the study.
&#8220;These results are disappointing as it was our hope that this combination might yield improved outcomes for people living with metastatic non-squamous lung cancer,&#8221; said Levi Garraway, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Global Product Development.
Ongoing phase 3 studies are investigating treatment settings and indications distinct from SKYSCRAPER-06. Based on the results, Roche said it would evaluate any relevant changes needed to the ongoing tiragolumab program.
On Friday, the FDA <a target="_blank" href="https://www.roche.com/media/releases/med-cor-2024-07-05" rel="noreferrer noopener">approved</a> Roche&#8217;s Vabysmo (faricimab) 6.0 mg single-dose prefilled syringe for neovascular or &#8216;wet&#8217; age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and macular edema following retinal vein occlusion.

Shares of electric-vehicle maker Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) rose <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/premarket">in premarket trading</a> on Friday, signaling that they could extend their winning streak to an eighth straight session.
The premarket gains reflect the continuation of the momentum the stock has picked up since late-June. The stock broke out of a trading range around the time, in anticipation of the company&#8217;s second-quarter deliveries beating the lowered bar. With the number surprising to the upside, investors largely ignored the fact that sales fell for the second straight quarter.
Bullish analysts have stepped up their rhetoric that the company has turned the corner and is positioning for outperformance in the second-half of the year. 
More clarity may emerge when the company reports its quarterly results on July 23rd and hosts its earnings call. Gary Black of Future Fund clarified that he is not yet ready to jump into the Tesla buyers&#8217; bandwagon and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/07/39639428/this-tesla-bull-wont-blindly-change-his-position-and-resume-buying-the-stock-despit">will prefer to wait till the earnings report is out before taking a call.</a>
Meanwhile, reports suggest CEO Elon Musk has ceased discussions with Indian government officials regarding plans to debut in the country, which is widely perceived to be a market offering immense potential.
In premarket, the stock rose 1.92% to $251.12, according to <a href="https://benzinga.grsm.io/register174">Benzinga Pro data.</a> A move above $249 may help the stock turn to black for the year.

The average daily usage of Ernie models increased by 150% sequentially in the second quarter.
Baidu fiercely competes with other major Chinese tech firms and LLM startups for market share, offering free credits or significant discounts to developers using its AI models.
Comparatively, OpenAI&#8217;s GPT-4 model is priced at $5 per 1 million input tokens and $15 per 1 million output tokens.
To further enhance its market position, Baidu is also focusing on innovative applications of AI across various industries.
