Growth in the company's revenue appears to have helped boost the earnings per share. The net income growth from the same quarter one year ago has significantly exceeded that of the S&amp;P 500 and the Chemicals industry. The net income increased by 365.9% when compared to the same quarter one year prior, rising from $25.20 million to $117.40 million.
3) Cytec Industries (NYSE:CYT) ranks third with a gain of 3.35%.- Cytec Industries Inc. last announced its quarterly results on Thursday, April 21st. The company reported $0.78 earnings per share (EPS) for the previous quarter, beating the Thomson Reuters consensus estimate of $0.70 EPS by $0.08. During the same quarter in the prior year, the company posted $0.66 earnings per share. The company's quarterly revenue was up 18.50% on a year-over-year basis.
